Ulrich A. Riebe
German artist Ulrich A. Riebe elevates the tradition of panoramic photography to new heights in his dynamic body of metropolitan interior and exterior views. What makes Riebe’s work fascinating is that the spherical panoramas that Riebe creates can offer a striking document of a space in time. They also inherently distort how we see that space regardless of whether it is a diminutive apartment interior or a sweeping city skyline. The result is a visual tension that Riebe uses to full effect across his current portfolio of large-scale prints on canvas.
Based in Konstanz, Germany, Riebe earned an MA degree in Philosophy, Art and Media Studies, IT at university before embarking on his career as a photographer. He has travelled the globe to capture panoramic views of myriad international locales, many in limited edition series available through various online outlets.
