Saskia Stapel
Artist Saskia Stapel lives and works in the Netherlands.
Growing up in a family of artists and scientists shaped her outlook on life, and her early experiences influence her work today. She feels there are often contradictions to be found in life, and it is these contradictions that inspire her.
Saskia also finds inspiration in Impressionism, Fauvism, fairy tales and music. Her art often features narrative scenes of nature. Through her work, she aims to communicate various emotions, and sometimes her paintings try to capture the ineffable. Saskia enjoys the freedom of painting, to create makes her happy.
