Chris Johnson
Contemporary abstract expressionist painter, Chris Johnson, sources inspiration from his personal journey from darkness into light. Through his artwork, Chris tells his story of emotional and spiritual pain, hopelessness and fear, to one of hope, faith and ultimately, freedom.
A bold use of vibrant colours and meticulous linework and blending characterise his aesthetic. Chris seeks to create a thoughtful, genuine and engaging message of hope and courage.
Chris exhibited at Art Basel Miami in December 2019. In March 2020, he will be an Artist-in-Residence at Chateau d’ Orquevaux in France. He is represented by the Piermont Flywheel Gallery in Piermont, NY.
Currently, Chris resides in Nyack, New York. He is available for commission upon request.
