“It all starts with geometry. Everything in the world around us can be broken down into different geometrical shapes; from the buildings we live in, to the tires on our cars. My goal is to bring this principle to life through my artwork.”
Aaron Jaymes Booker is a Houston-based artist originally from El Paso, Texas. Born into a military family, Aaron has lived all over the world, including Germany, where he lived for three years before settling in El Paso.
He obtained a degree in mathematics before becoming a 7th-grade math teacher. After years of teaching and studying mathematics, Aaron has decided to return to his original passion, art.
Aaron’s comprehensive understanding of mathematics is evident within work. Line segments, angles, coordinate points, similar and congruent figures, symmetry, and parallel lines come together to create precise and compelling 3D imagery.
