Ilze Cant
Ilze Cant is a Latvian artist living and working in Melbourne, Australia. She holds a Master’s degree in Humanities, Fine Art department from the Art Academy of Latvia.
Ilze began painting after eldest daughter was born in 2001, and both of her daughters have played a significant role in her art journey. Over the years, her painting style has evolved, but she has always been fascinated by portraits. She explains, “In the eyes of the human, I see a whole new universe that opens to me through the painting and drawing process. I am inspired by beauty and nature in all its forms.”
Ilze is currently developing her ink pen drawing series ‘Lace Warrior.’
