Sima (sima jo benson)
Los Angeles based contemporary painter Sima Jo Benson believes “that all things are one”. She explores the idea of how fluid our energy can be within our environment and among each other. Sima visualises emotional states into physical forms with the intent to make viewers of her work consider just how easily we fluctuate and morph into our surroundings. Her works possess a fluidity and surreal, dream-like aesthetic and comment on self-reflection and human relationships.
Sima gained formal training at Laguna College of Art and Design and now produces her paintings in her Los Angeles studio. She is available for commission upon request.
