Danielle Hansmann
Employing bright, vibrant colours to stimulate the eye and recall the experiences of her youth, American artist Danielle Hansmann activates her paintings within a space of memory and memory-making. Each canvas holds a time capsule with which one can journey through another moment in time. Evolving over the years into an abstract painter, Hansmann finds liberation in the relationships of colours as if they dance within each composition she creates.
Hailing from the Midwestern United States, Hansmann earned her degrees from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Today, Hansmann is based in Miami, Florida, and has enjoyed an incredibly active exhibition schedule in recent years. Her work, for example, was featured at the “Outside the Lines” event at CIC Miami (in conjunction with Art Basel 2019), and solo showcases of her work took place at Miami restaurant Boulud Sud and at Conception Art Show Miami 2019.
