Fujie Yoshimoto
Contemporary Japanese, now London based painter Fujie Yoshimoto describes her art as Modern Fauvism.
Her paintings, primarily oil on canvas, are inspired by French painter Henri Matisse and Austrian artist Gustav Klimt. Fujie states that “I am also inspired by people with shining life forces regardless of which kind of life state they might be in at the time, in the same way that the sun illuminates the moon; the nature of the Universe.”
She is currently represented as a portrait artist by Gabriel Fine Art. An active member of the arts scene in London, Fujie has exhibited in galleries throughout Mayfair, Marylebone, Kensington, Kentish Town and further afield in Taplow.
