Kou Kamihara
The dynamic collage artwork of Tokyo based artist Kou Kamihara is characterised by his vivid use of colour and the juxtaposition of unlikely image combinations. By recontextualising found imagery, Kou creates exciting compositions and narratives with a contemporary graphic sensibility.
Design Festa Gallery (Tokyo), recently showcased his latest exhibition titled “The universe is not interested in me”. Here he showed an extensive collection of his collage artwork alongside a range of products.
Kou is also a graphic designer and has produced numerous album covers, including artwork for Kaho Hasegawa and YELLOWUNIVERSE.
