Elena Orekhova

Elena Orekhova is a Russian ceramicist creating exquisitely beautiful objects for interior spaces.

“My acquaintance with ceramics began when I worked as an Art Director for an interior salon, selecting accessories for the showroom. A little later, in 2015, I founded Savor Ceramics Studio, where ceramicists of various levels can come together to collaborate.

I immediately knew that I wanted to make interior objects. I believe that home accessories have great power in creating aesthetic beauty, intimacy and personal happiness. Due to the nature of my work, I frequently collaborate with interior designers, and it is a process that I have come to love.

I find ideas in everything that surrounds me. Not all of my pieces have a philosophical concept or a hidden meaning behind them; not all of them are intended for deep thought analysis. The aesthetics and the visual beauty of the items are most important to me. Through this, I want to establish an emotional connection with the viewers of my work. It is my love for the craft and the process of creation that inspires me. I strive for people to begin to understand and cherish the value of ‘manual work’ and to respect the craftsmanship.”

Elena’s work has recently been featured on the cover of the acclaimed interior design publication, AD magazine. She frequently participates in local and international exhibitions. Her work is held in private collections around the world, including the US, UK, France, Italy, Dubai and Kuwait.

She continues to work from her studio in Moscow, Russia.
