Cody J Giardina
The work of New York-based artist Cody James Giardina is in a constant state of evolution.
Having received a Bachelor of Studio and Art from Queens College, as well as completing an art residency at the Chautauqua Institute in 2015, Cody is accomplished in many forms of media and technique. Cody’s work is, however, predominantly produced in one particular medium. “I’m always drawn to one specific medium, spray paint. From its unconventional and controversial use, to its fast technological advancements in its application. I believe there is much still to be explored in this medium, as opposed to other traditional media. I like to think my work right now is only scratching the surface of spray paint’s full potential. I like to use this tool to push my artistic skills as well as the medium itself.”
